Review Process

Submitted manuscripts are first screened by the editorial team for scope, relevance, structure and ethical compliance. Suitable submissions are assigned to independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript's originality, research design, methods, clarity, references, contribution to knowledge and alignment with the scientific mission of the journal.

Double-Blind Assessment

The journal applies a double-blind review model, where authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. This supports impartial assessment, protects academic fairness and strengthens confidence in the editorial process.

Ethical Standards

AHR is committed to preventing plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, undisclosed conflicts of interest and other forms of publication misconduct. Ethical concerns, corrections, retractions and editorial notices are handled transparently and in line with recognized publication ethics principles.

Editorial Decision

Editorial decisions are based on reviewer reports, scientific merit, ethical compliance and the journal's aims and scope. Possible outcomes include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, resubmission or rejection. Authors receive reviewer comments and editorial guidance when revisions are requested.

Originality, Plagiarism, and Similarity Screening

Arts and Humanities Reflections (AHR) is committed to protecting the integrity of the scholarly record by requiring all submitted manuscripts to be original, properly referenced, and free from plagiarism, redundant publication, fabricated content, and unethical text recycling. All submissions may be checked for originality during the editorial screening process, including similarity assessment, reference verification, and review of proper attribution of sources, data, figures, tables, and third-party materials.

The journal treats plagiarism and related forms of publication misconduct as serious ethical violations. Manuscripts may be returned to authors, rejected before peer review, rejected after review, corrected, or subject to further editorial action if concerns arise regarding copied text, unattributed ideas, duplicate submission, self-plagiarism, manipulated data, inappropriate image use, citation manipulation, or undisclosed use of AI-generated content. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all submitted work meets the journal's standards for originality, transparency, academic honesty, and responsible scholarly communication in arts and humanities scholarship.
